Chrome is the best browser when it comes to windows based systems. But whenever it shows DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN or we can say DNS PROBE FINISHED NXDOMAIN error, it makes us feel helpless. Nothing works, the web page keeps loading and we keep losing our patience.
I suffered this problem And found the solution too.
Why DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN Error Occurs In Chrome?
The thing is simple. You have an internet connection and obviously Internet Service Provider i.e ISP too.
Sometimes the DNS server of your ISP works not as it should work and it misunderstands the web page that you are asking for.
For a time, when some web page was not working, I thought it’s because they are banned in my country. But then sometimes my own blog was not loading.
And I was like why my government banned my blog. Stupid I was 😛 It’s not the ban. It’s your ISP’s DNS not responding to it.
So what do we do? Let’s keep the ISP and change our DNS. But which DNS we use then?
The answer is Google’s DNS servers.
Yes, Google has fast, working and Up almost every time DNS servers that work well as the solution to this problem. Now it looks like a huge thing to setup DNS but it’s just as easy as commenting on this post in comment box.
Let’s do this. I will get you through the easiest steps to change the DNS to Google DNS.
Step 1: First of all, go to start menu and search for “Run” program and open it.
Step 2: Now in the column, type “ncpa.cpl” without quotes and click on ok button. This command will open all the available internet connections you have.
Step 3: Right-click on the one you are using right now and click on properties tab on the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Now a window will open where you can see an option like “Internet protocol version 4(TCP/IPv4). Click on it and then click on properties tab.
Step 5: Now there will be a window of Internet protocol version 4(TCP/IPv4) where you can see an option like “Use the following DNS server addresses”. Select it.
Step 6: Add the following addresses of Google DNS in the fields.
There are some other things like flushing the DNS and all but this method is going to resolve DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error in chrome for sure.
