The results are in and PHONE+ is honored to congratulate Brian Twomey, president of TNCI, as the first-ever PHONE+ Channel Executive of the Year! PHONE+ recently presented Twomey with his award at the Spring 2008 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas. Nine other finalists also were honored for garnering enough votes to make the Top 10.
Over the past few months, PHONE+ has been collecting nominations, votes and information to showcase these top channel executives. To be eligible for this designation, the channel executive must be the top person in the company’s channel operations at a telecom vendor (network operator/service provider/manufacturer). Channel partners were asked to consider the following criteria when nominating an executive:
- Leadership – To what extent does the nominee show leadership within the companies he/she has worked for, the business community at large, the communications industry and the channel?
- Longevity – How long has the nominee been involved in developing the channel?
- Innovation – To what extent does the nominee bring new ideas to the channel?
- Contribution – To what extent does the nominee engage in activities to promote or advance the channel?
PHONE+ received nominations for more than 30 nominees; and channel partners submitted well more than 500 valid votes to determine the top 10 and subsequently, the winner.
