We are having great success selling hosted and managed VoIP through Fusion and Smoothstone, respectively. Our customers are getting into VoIP inexpensively and raving about the productivity and efficiency gains.

3 years and 6,000 users later, we think so! Joe G., Stage 2 Networks

The only issue with VOIP is the numerous providers in this space who are after a quick buck (think SunRocket) without a long term strategy. Every VOIP Provider that fails, gives the segment a bad name.

The success or failure for hosted voip as well as any true voip application is still dependent on the bandwidth as well as last mile provider. All the QOS in the world cannot compensate for a provider that is over subscribed. TDM is still at a major advantage in todays market.

TDM has got the advantage, Cable has the backbone and is going to RIP AT&T's heart out if AT&T doesnt hit the ground with some major price changes. Customers are willing to sacrifice Quality for Price in the 5 line market. BUT I still think VoIP has some fine tuning to do when it comes to stability. TDS

Hosted VoIP has come of age for the 5-50 employee small business market. With 5 nine's reliability coupled with low deployment and support costs, VoIP's advantages are becoming more clear. www.naturalconvergence.com for more information
