WAV, SkyPilot Sign Distribution Agreement

WAV Inc. has extended its product portfolio by signing a distribution agreement with SkyPilot Networks.

Under this new agreement, WAV will offer SkyPilot's entire line of broadband wireless products to combine a point-to-multipoint base station, a multihop wireless relay, and a point-to-point link into a single system for its solution providers.

"SkyPilot's unique backhaul capabilities provide the flexibility that our channel partners need to reach into new markets, and with WAV's portfolio of value-added services, we can provide a total solution to our entire community of wireless and mobile solution providers and value-added resellers," said Norm Dumbroff, president and CEO of WAV.

SkyPilot's broadband wireless products enable fixed broadband Internet access, VoIP, video surveillance and automatic meter reading. The SkyGateway and SkyExtender products provide point-to-multipoint to low-cost SkyConnector CPE, as well as a unique synchronous multihop backhaul to extend range and increase capacity. These 5GHz solutions can also be integrated with long-range Wi-Fi access points at 2.4GHz for IEEE 802.11b/g and 4.9GHz for mobile public safety.
