They say if union workers know one song, it’s “Solidarity Forever.” Looks like that’s what Qwest Communications International Inc. (Q) workers have – for the next three years, anyway. The Denver-based Baby Bell and its two unions have agreed on new health care, job security and wage terms. The deal comes a week after Verizon Communications Inc. settled with its union employees, and a week before the Democratic National Convention. People on both sides of the issue feared a strike would derail the DNC.
