QLogic Touts InfiniBand Channel Program

QLogic Corp. (QLGC) is looking for resellers for its high-performance computing (HPC) product line. HPC, or supercomputing, is a growing area within the large global enterprise market segment.

The new QLogic SignatureHPC channel program is an extension of its Signature Partner channel program for storage networking. QLogic hopes to sign up those wanting to tap the emerging market for computing clusters built on its InfiniBand networks, to meet what the company says is end-user demand for qualified partners to work with in that area.

The QLogic HPC product line includes multiprotocol fabric directors, edge switches, adapters and a software suite to install, operate and maintain high-performance clusters.

The QLogic SignatureHPC Program is the industry's first enterprise-class channel program for HPC, it says, through which it aims to give partners “global” opportunities. Authorized QLogic resellers and distributors include Bell Micro, SYNNEX Corp. and Tech Data.
