Polycom, ShoreTel Announce Interoperability

Polycom Inc. (PLCM) and ShoreTel Inc. (SHOR) have announced that Polycom's SpectraLink wireless telephones and SoundStation IP conference phones are now certified for interoperability on the ShoreTel UC system.

The ShoreTel UC system is interoperable with Polycom's SpectraLink Wireless Telephones. The two enterprise-grade handsets (8020 and 8030 models) operate on converged voice and data Wi-Fi infrastructure to reduce costs and simplify management.

The ShoreTel UC system also is interoperable with Polycom's SoundStation IP 6000 and 7000 conference phones. The SoundStation IP 7000 and IP 6000 offer features including Polycom HD Voice technology and a sleek design. The SoundStation IP 7000 is an ideal upgrade for executive offices, conference rooms and board rooms, while the SoundStation IP 6000 is suited for managerial offices and small and mid-sized conference rooms.
