Packet Island Unveils PacketPro

Packet Island Inc. has unveiled its latest SaaS-based product, PacketPro. which has the ability to provide managed service providers and IT outsourcing companies remote visibility to troubleshoot problems in their customers' networks.

PacketPro is a remote VoIP lifecycle management and packet sniffing solution. Packet Island's hosted service enables this micro-appliance to be used as a remote ethereal sniffer to diagnose a broad variety of network problems.

PacketPro captures network traffic snapshots from customer sites; trouble shoots voice-video-data problems by decoding more than 750 protocols using EtherealR/Wireshark; performs VoIP assessments to determine LAN/WAN capacity issues; performs 24x7 VoIP monitoring; and uses on-demand reports to help isolate the source of VoIP problems.
