Optimum Buys 4Connections for Undisclosed Price

New York-based Optimum Lightpath will expand its reach with the purchase of 4Connections LLC, a fiber network operator in New Jersey.

The acquisition was announced late Tuesday. Terms weren’t disclosed, however, as Optimum Lightpath is a division of privately held Cablevision Systems Corp. Optimum Lightpath provides Ethernet broadband service for businesses. Buying 4Connections means Optimum Lightpath will touch more New Jersey businesses, executives said.

Optimum Lightpath didn’t give an estimated closing date for the transaction.
