Channel Partners: Lubamersky Addresses Policy Matters Affecting Agents

03/10/2008

Too often, indirect sales partners think regulatory decisions don’t affect their businesses.

But nothing could be more untrue, and FCC activity over the past year proves it. Forbearance is the new “F” word (even though Verizon was wholly denied in December); copper retirement remains a looming issue (do you want to tell your customers you can’t reach their locations anymore for a decent rate because the ILEC changed the last-mile access method?); and the loss of UNE-P continues to translate it into higher prices that ultimately get passed on to subscribers.

Find out about these issues and more today when TelePacific’s regulatory guru Nancy Lubamersky provides expert analysis on the current state of telecom regulation impacting the channel. “I’ve always been concerned that CLECs and their partners don’t understand the incredible effect regulation has had and will continue to have on their success,” said Lubamersky, vice president of strategic initiatives. “I’m hopeful that I will be able to shed some light on the FCC process so the Channel Partners' participants will both understand the FCC past actions, and be better able to predict future actions to be better positioned to identify win-win situations with CLEC partners.”
