Channel Partners: American Telesis Launches Ethernet Training Program

03/11/2008

American Telesis (Booth 1505), a private line, Ethernet and MPLS network provider, announced a new training program for agents, called “Ethernet — Are you Prepared?”

The innovative program outlines the different Ethernet delivery methods and how they are suited for different customer applications. The company, a Channel Partners Conference & Expo sponsor, said it uses examples drawn from actual network installations to show agents how real customers use various types of Ethernet to strengthen their networks.

“With the WAN bandwidth demand continuing to grow, we felt that it is very important to arm our agents with the tools to sell networks that meet every expectation of their customer,” said Heather Selbert, Telesis vice president of operations for American Telesis. “The demand for Ethernet services will continue to grow and agents that can guide a customer through the network planning process will be very successful.”

Virtually every type of service provider has embraced Ethernet technology and introduced it as a service that holds price and flexibility advantages over TDM-based line services.

American Telesis said its training course will help agents look at networks in a whole new way.
