ShoreTel Updates UC System

ShoreTel Inc. said it has released the latest version of its unified communications system.

The ShoreTel 7.5 offers customers new options for extending corporate communications to mobile workers, increased support for international locations and reliable switches that provide twice the capacity in half the space, the company said. ShoreTel also introduced two new telephones – the ShorePhone IP 265 and the ShorePhone IP 115, an enhanced entry-level speakerphone.

Some features of the ShoreTel 7.5 include a mobile call manager, which extends to mobile phones the same visual communications environment customers rely on at their desktop, a system that supports 11 languages and dialing plans from 20 countries, and new switches that contain twice the capacity and half the space, the company said.

The software upgrade to ShoreTel 7.5 is free of charge to ShoreTel customers with maintenance contracts. Pricing for the new ShoreTel switches are $3,795 for ShoreGear 90BRI; $8,195 for ShoreGear 220T1A; and $7,495 for ShoreGear 220E1. The ShorePhone IP 265 costs $369, and ShorePhone 115 is $159.
