SpectraLink Adds Interoperability With Asterisk Platform

SpectraLink Corp. has expanded its enterprise telephone system interoperability by adding support for Digium Inc.'s Asterisk Business Edition, the company said Monday.

SpectraLink's Wi-Fi-based NetLink Wireless Telephones and DECT-based KIRK systems will support the SIP protocol for interfacing with the Asterisk open-source IP PBX application.

NetLink Wireless Telephones have been tested and certified by Digium to ensure interoperability with Asterisk Business Edition. Interoperability with Asterisk adds to SpectraLink's list of enterprise PBX platforms supported through circuit-switched and VoIP protocols.

SpectraLink will be a participant in the Digium partner booth (809) at Spring 2007 VON 2007 this week in San Jose, Calif.
