TelecomAssociation To Announce ‘Members Choice Awards’

The TelecomAssociation (TA), a 10-year-old organization of telecom distributors, will announce the winners of the 2007 Members Choice Awards after the Carrier Roundtable. This is the second year of the program, which was created last spring to acknowledge excellence among communications providers working with the indirect channel.

This year’s winners were selected by TA’s agent members during a multiweek nominating and voting process that ended Feb. 9. Several dozen providers were nominated for each category.

The 2006 contest included six categories: master agency, carrier/ reseller, local, data/broadband, VoIP and conferencing. These have been expanded to nine with the separation of the carrier/reseller category and the addition of mobile/wireless and wholesale carrier options. For transparency, the nomination and voting process are published on the TA Web site at www.tavote.com. Notably, any vendor receiving a significant number of nominations by TA members can receive votes and win in any category. Vendors need not be a current paid TA vendor to be nominated and win.

Winners of the 2006 vote included Telecom Brokerage Inc., AireSpring Inc., New Edge Networks, XO Communications Inc., The Conference Group and RPM Software.
