Hostopia Makes Debut on Toronto Stock Exchange

Hostopia.com Inc., a wholesaler of Web hosting services, on Friday marked the listing of its common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange. At midday, shares were trading for approximately $5.39 in U.S. currency, down 5 cents.

The company – which sells to communications service providers, who then resell to SMBs – trades under the symbol “H.” It closed its IPO in early November, generating less money than it had hoped.

"Listing as a public company on the TSX represents the completion of a long-held strategy of Hostopia's to deliver the best value to our customers," said Colin Campbell, Hostopia's CEO. "Funding from the public investing markets better enables us to execute our business plan, which has been very successful to date.”
