Fonality Signs Hundreds of Resellers

08/29/2005

Fonality said today it has signed more than 500 reseller partners in 45 countries to distribute and deploy PBXtra, its flagship IP PBX product built for SMBs.

The company started shipping PBXtra last fall.

“You don’t have to go phone school anymore to install phone systems. PBXtra’s interface is so intuitive that you don’t need to know anything about Linux or Asterisk, either,” says Chris Lyman, Fonality’s founder and CEO. “Resellers can configure PBXtra remotely from a Web browser and don’t have to go onsite, which means they can earn more money in less time.”

Fonality’s resellers include traditional key and PBX telephony VARs, local computer consultants, system and network integrators, and large regional and national integrators.

PBXtra is an Asterisk-based IP PBX that runs on the Linux platform. The standard edition starts at $995, while the PBXtra Call Center Edition server starts at $1,995.

Fonality offers its resellers a revenue-sharing program that includes the initial sale of all equipment and software, an increase in billable hours from installation and administration, and a lifetime residual commission on Fonality VoIP minutes customers use. Fonality also pays for referrals.
