Adelstein Up for Second FCC Term

President Bush has re-nominated Democratic FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein to a second term.

If the Senate confirms that nomination, which it likely will, Adelstein will serve through June 13, 2013. Adelstein joined the FCC in December 2002. For 15 years prior to that, he worked as a staff member in the Senate.

The second nomination came late Friday.

Adelstein is a South Dakota native. His father was elected twice to South Dakota’s House of Representative, as a Republican.
