* First Virtual Communications, a provider of rich media Web conferencing and collaboration solutions, has moved its corporate headquarters to 3200 Bridge Parkway in Redwood City, Calif. The company also maintains offices in Nashua, N.H. and McLean, Va., as well as China, France, Hong Kong, Japan and the United Kingdom.

* Wire One Technologies Inc., a video conferencing services provider, says its board of directors has formed a search committee to seek a new president and CEO. The company previously announced a major shift in strategy through an agreement to sell its video conferencing equipment division, which would allow the company to focus all of its resources on accelerating the growth of its Glowpoint IP video communications service. The company says current President Leo Flotron will continue with the video conferencing equipment division after its sale.

* RADVISION Ltd. has named Rob Hughes as vice president of sales, Americas, for RADVISION's Networking Business Unit, which offers video conferencing network solutions for IP- and ISDN-based networks. Hughes brings conferencing sales experience from both the channel and vendor side and will lead RADVISION's video conferencing sales efforts throughout the Americas. Hughes was president of VSGi, a provider of video, audio and data collaboration technologies, and, was vice president of North American channel sales for Polycom Inc..

* TANDBERG has hired technology industry veteran Toni Lee Rudnicki the newly created role of chief marketing officer (CMO). Rudnicki joins TANDBERG from Aspen Technology Inc., where she served as vice president of marketing. She also has held positions from worldwide marketing director to vice president of marketing with companies such as Digital Equipment Corp., General Electric Space Division and Dow Chemical. In her position as CMO at TANDBERG, Rudnicki will be responsible for all global marketing activities including analyst relations, advertising, public relations, branding, messaging, product marketing, Web communication and collateral development.

* The board of directors for Polycom Inc. has appointed Betsy Atkins as lead independent director. Atkins will work to enhance board effectiveness, preside over the meetings of independent directors without management present and serve as liaison between the board and management. Atkins has served on the Polycom board since April 1999. Atkins is president and CEO of Baja LLC, an independent venture capital firm that focuses on high-tech companies during their early stages of development. She has 23 years of public company corporate governance experience. She has served on the board of directors for Lucent Technologies Inc. and UTStarcom.

* Sonexis Inc., has moved corporate headquarters to accommodate the company's growing business of selling in-house audio and Web conferencing systems to large and mid-sized companies. The company's new address will be 495 Network Center, 400 Network Center Drive in Tewksbury, Mass. The new 14,445 square-foot space provides Sonexis with facilities for training and customer support, a larger quality assurance laboratory and expanded resources for the engineering, inside sales, management and marketing organizations.
